The Stevenage Urban Arts Festival is an annual celebration that brings together artists, performers, and innovators from across Hertfordshire and beyond. Set in the heart of Stevenage, the festival transforms everyday urban spaces into vibrant stages, galleries, and creative playgrounds—showcasing the power of art to inspire, challenge, and unite.

Our Mission
To illuminate the bold, diverse, and ever-evolving landscape of urban arts while offering our local community fresh ways to engage with creativity. We aim to empower emerging artists by giving them platforms to exhibit, perform, and collaborate; to re-energise public spaces through murals, installations, and interactive art; to create inclusive cultural experiences accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds; and to strengthen community pride by celebrating Stevenage’s creativity, heritage, and future.

What We Celebrate
Our festival showcases the full spectrum of urban artistic expression, from vibrant street art and murals — including live painting, graffiti battles, and large-scale collaborations — to the dynamic sounds and movements of local bands, DJs, spoken word performers, and dance crews. We highlight interactive creativity through pop-up sculptures, digital art, immersive installations, and hands-on workshops, while also celebrating the wider world of urban culture with skate demos, parkour showcases, fashion pop-ups, and creative entrepreneurship.
